Seth Palansky, WSOP Communications Director, admits that this is a study of the possibilities - let the dispute to delay the final table of the Main Event World Series of Poker three months.
Main reason for this decision recorded in the tremendous success of this year's ESPN broadcast, which this year offered a total of 45 hours of live coverage of the Main Event.
"If you are doing something live, you really need to postpone it for four months and try a greater expectation on people to see?" Said Palansky.
Besides the need to respond to the success of transmissions, Palansky admits that the copy of the format, other poker events was not appreciated by the organizers of the WSOP:
"We are not happy with other organizations attempting to copy the name and concept." What happens for example with the French circuit Partouche Poker Tour.
The first time they have relied on the WSOP November 9 was in 2008. This year will be 6 to 8 November that the final table will be played.
