Alan Meltzer lost the game of life to 67 years

It was one of the most beloved and respected players among people of high stakes tables in Las Vegas and died at his home on the night of Monday last.

David Peat VIFF was to give the news to the world through his Twitter. Peat I heard the sad news through a son of Meltzer:


Meltzer was a regular guest of the programs of high stakes, where he shared a table with some of the biggest names in the poker world. Despite being a constant presence in the biggest games of Las Vegas, Meltzer was not a professional player before a lover of poker with a lot of money.

He made a fortune by creating the Wind-Up Records in 1997, with bands like Creed, Evanescence and Seether.

Twitter has been the scene of many messages of condolence from many players that Meltzer had a lot of consideration, such as Andrew Robl that highlights the personality of Meltzer (who in addition to the poker big time devoted to helping charities):
